CURRICULUM VITAE

Abdolhossein Vahaji

 Abdolhossein Vahaji presented his credentials to Governor General of Australia Sir Peter Cosgrove on August 20, 2014. 

As Ambassador of Iran, he seeks to strengthen Iran-Australia Relation; to increase bilateral trade and investment; and to boost cultural, scientific, regional and international cooperation between two countries. 

He is married with four children and was awarded a Bachelor of Business Management from the University of California, U.S. (1975), a Master of Business Management by the University of Shahid Beheshti, Iran, (1996), and PhD in Strategic Management from Tehran Azad University (2004), Incomplete.

From 2001 to 2005, Ambassador Vahaji was Deputy Minister for International Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce.

He speaks Farsi (mother tongue), French and English.

He also served on the other important positions in the Iranian government which are as follows:

1997-2001        Deputy Minister  for the Foreign Trade of the Ministry of  

                       Commerce

1993-1997        Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Economic Affairs &

                       Chief of the Customs administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran
